Born in Argentina, his musical career has been linked to Europe from a very early age, where he perfected his conducting studies with Scott Sandmeier in Paris, Erwin Acel in Vienna, and Jorma Panula in Helsinki. Jean-Sébastien Béreau, a student of Olivier Messiaen, awarded him the prize to conduct the Orchestre Boréale de Paris.
He was invited by Iván Fischer to work with the Budapest Festival Orchestra and by Rudolf Buchbinder to collaborate with him personally. Gustavo Dudamel also invited him to Venezuela to work with the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra.
In the field of opera, he has conducted productions of Rigoletto, La Traviata, Don Giovanni, and Carmen at the Burgas State Opera (State Opera Burgas). In Austria, following a successful production of The Magic Flute, he led the production and artistic direction of the Tango Opera.
At the Akzent Theatre in Vienna, Piazzolla's María de Buenos Aires and Martín Palmeri's Mateo were staged together for the first time. This success was repeated in subsequent years in Italy, where he also recently conducted Suor Angelica. His symphonic activity has led him to conduct, among other ensembles, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of London at Cadogan Hall; the Tonkünstler Orchestra at the Golden Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna and in St. Pölten; as well as the Jena Philharmonie and the Göttingen Symphonieorchester. A regular collaborator with leading ensembles in Eastern Europe, he has conducted the Budapest Philharmonic, the Slovak Philharmonic (Bratislava Philharmonic), and the Sofia Philharmonic, among others.
A charismatic and personally dedicated conductor, he plays a vital role in promoting international tours. In February 2022 and 2023, he conducted a series of concerts with the Wiener Concert-Verein (the Vienna Symphony's chamber orchestra) in Innsbruck (Austria), Geneva (Switzerland) -at Victoria Hall-, Munich (Germany), at the Festival de Pâques d'Aix-en-Provence (France), and at the Musikverein in Vienna.
Furthermore, he led the first major historic tour in Japan of the National Youth Symphony Orchestra "Libertador San Martín" of Argentina, performing the great repertoire of that country, and was appointed principal conductor of the ensemble by maestro Mario Benzecry.
In 2024, he performed at the Golden Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna with the Târgu Mureș State Philharmonic, with which he also made his debut in 2025 at the Berlin Philharmonic. That same year, he performed at the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest as part of the prestigious Cello-East Festival. International projection continues in 2026, a year in which he returns with the Târgu Mureș Philharmonic to the Liszt Academy in Budapest. Likewise, this season highlights a new collaboration with the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra.
Boggiano has a Grammy Award nomination for his direction on the recording of the CD Alta Gracia at the helm of the Bratislava Philharmonic. Likewise, he recorded for the Naxos label the first monographic CD with the music of Esteban Benzecry alongside the Lviv Philharmonic (Lviv National Philharmonic) and soloists Xavier Inchausti, Mariano Rey, and Ayako Tanaka. This production, carried out in the presence of the composer, was highly praised by specialized criticism, including BBC Music Magazine. In Argentina, where he began his musical studies under the guidance of Mario Benzecry, he debuted at the Cathedral of Buenos Aires at the age of 18 and was assistant to the current National Youth Symphony.
He has worked regularly with the National Symphony Orchestra and the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra of the Teatro Colón, among others. Precisely at the Teatro Colón he was invited for the first time in 2017 to work on the production of Der Rosenkavalier (The Knight of the Rose).
In June 2026, he was awarded the Prize for Best Argentinian Conductor (2025 season) by the "Association of Musical Critics of Argentina". Currently, he is carrying out the first audiovisual recording in the country of Alberto Williams's nine symphonies alongside the National Symphony Orchestra of Argentina.
His work in editing and rescuing the Argentine musical heritage is fundamental. After 20 years of research and score digitization, and considering that an average symphony has between 120 and 150 pages, Pablo Boggiano has already digitized more than 7,000 pages. This makes him the conductor who has performed Argentine academic music abroad the most.
Since 2019, he has served as a jury member for the Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival in Vienna for choirs and youth orchestras from around the world.
